Thinking of buying an iron set and wondering which clubs i should choose.

Go to your local golf pro or golf store. They are usually great at customizing shafts and lie angles. There is a huge difference between custom fitted and out of the box irons. I am partial to irons that are forged blades and pro-step clubs. I think I've hit all the major brand irons so I would rank mine like this:

1. Hogan 99 Apex (pre-callaway days)
2. Hogan FTX (pre-callaway)
3. Nike Pro Combo
4. Mizuno MP-37
5. Nike CCI (forged)

I found mine in someone's trash a few years ago and slipped on a new two tone leather gripmaster grip and love it. Classy.

I use to use that on the old days..
it was good.

I just need to know basically everything about putters. i know there are blades, mallets and semi mallets, but whats the difference. What are good qualities of putters and what are the different materials and what purpose do these materials serve. Why are some mallets and semi mallets designe so weird with holes in them and stuff? can i basically just hear what your complet overview of putters are. and what are the very best brands of putters?

odyssey putters are the best brand out there
shortly followed by pings.
blade putters are for the most expeirenceed golfers and are basically a hunk of metal,
semi mallet putters are what i use just because i've been using them my whole life so far and they work but they are the most common type, for the average golfer
and mallet putters are for anyone who wants more distance and power on putts while using little force.
there are also different lengths to the putter handels. there are short, belly and broom style putters.

when choosing a putter it is all about feel and comfort. your best bet would be to your local golf shop and get the golf pro to help you pick the putter that best suits you because there are about a million and one different factors in picking out the putter. i wouldnt look on the internet to figure out what putter is best for you, i would go to a shop and test them in person
as for the material it is just another comfort and feel factor. you would really need to test them out in person. and as for the holes and shapes it all have to do with weight distribution. the larger the putter the more forgiveness (that is the techinical reasoning behind mallets, different shapes are just different designs)
putters are the most important club in your bag and you should really test several different putters before choosing. since you know nothing about them you should get someone who is a professional and will help you through the process. i would seek help from someone who works with putters everyday, not a family member or a friend who is just really good at golf.

( I have to go in person, can't buy online)

i want to get my bf something for our aniversary. I know he loves golf. Where can i go to find something nice for men's golfing clothes?

What does it consist of? polo shirts, shorts? ect Pls help!

Many department stores carry at least one line of golf shirts for men.
For expample, Dillards carries Jack Nicklas. Shirts are all you need to be concerned about since he can use regular mens casual shorts, please no cargo shorts or denim. Also, many of the more upscale public courses carry a good line of shirts and you may be able to shop in the pro shops of many of the private golf clubs (I know that the pro shop of the private club I belong to welcomes outside shoppers since they have a budget to meet) and generally have a very complete selection of shirts from several vendors.

Have have a pair of Nike golf shoes. The laces broke on them a while ago. I bought foot-joy replacement laces in the biggest size the shop had and he are still too small. Is there any where you can buy NIKE replacement golf laces. I have tried searching it on google and yahoo but no joy.
Can anyone let me know of a website where i can get them?

Any shoe specific store (Shoe Show, Shoe Depot, Shoe Carnival) should have an assortment of laces that will work. They key is to measure your old laces as this is how they typically have them packaged. I got the last set of laces I got at Wal-Mart. They weren't exact duplicates of what I had before, but they work just fine. I found exactly what I needed afterward @ a shoe specific retailer, but I didn't care too much…they are just laces.

The new Volkswagen CrossGolf which possesses the can-do qualities of a compact SUV and the versatility of a small MPV like its successful sibling the Volkswagen CrossPolo is a product of the Volkswagen Individual, which is the automakers internal division for vehicle refinement.

Cross a versatile concept

• SUV and MPV rolled into one- SUV is an acronym for Sport Utility Vehicle and refer to a more sophisticated version of the traditional off-road vehicle. The CrossGolf exemplifies the stamina and toughness of this type of vehicle which is reflected in its body and modified chassis. MPV is short for Multi Purpose Vehicle and pertains to a van. The CrossGolf with its variable and roomy interior belongs to this segment. The advantage of the Golf over its other siblings is the fact that within its class it doesn’t have any direct competitions.

• Powerful Image- the exterior design of the CrossGolf embodies features that reflect the evocative world of SUVs. Its continuous wrap-around cladding in anthracite color together with its silver colored roof rail and newly designed bumpers and radiator air inlets give the Golf an impressive look. This particular breed of Cross has large 17-inch wheels, while its body is set 20 millimeters higher. It also comes in an exclusive new color the “Ice Silver Metallic” which is offered as an option.

Cross and its cleverly crafted interiors

Individual Interior- the Volkswagen’s CrossGolf interior offers a fresh, contrast-rich color world scheme. The materials and colors of seat covers as well as its door trim and silver-metallic cockpit components were developed especially for the new model. It also possesses a three spoke leather steering wheel, pedal caps in aluminum and a “Climatic” climate control system that completes the generous lineup of standard equipment. The Golf is also equipped with top-of-the-line auto parts that the automaker is famous for like its Volkswagen air filter.

• Remarkable Ideas- the CrossGolf with front wheel drive is based on the Golf Plus Sportline. Its distinct features like folding tables on armrests of the standard front sport seats with storage bins underneath adds up to its practical details. The rear bench Seat with its longitudinal adjustment is split for variable folding to create a table. Depending on the bench configuration the cargo volume of the trunk area behind the large rear hatch ranges between 395 and 505 liters. When the seatbacks are folded down as much as 1,450 liters cargo space is provided.

• Expansive space- The space provided by the Volkswagen CrossGolf is likened to that of a compact SUV. As compared to the “clas¬sic” Golf the front passengers sit 9.5 centimeters higher, and measures 10.5 centimeters higher in the rear. The CrossGolf provides passengers with a comfortable entry and exit via its four doors. Head room and foot room are made extra spacious for both front and rear seating.

Powerful and Innovative Technology

• Two gasoline and two diesel engines- Volkswagen is offering the CrossGolf in two gasoline and two diesel engine variants. The two diesels come with a particulate filter. The entry-level gasoline engine delivers 75 kW / 102 HP, and the base TDI engine develops 77 kW / 105 HP. The top gasoline and diesel engine variants have identical power output: The TSI and the 2.0 TDI each deliver a powerful 103 kW / 140 HP. The exterior of the TSI is particularly intriguing. The twin charging by its supercharger and turbocharger enables the direct injection gasoline engine to produce an exceptionally high torque and an agile engine. The Golf also demonstrates exceptional fuel economy. The TSI and either of the TDIs can be ordered with DSG dual clutch transmission as an option.

• Optimal safety. Like all Golf cars the CrossGolf also has the ESP electronic stabilization program together with counter-steering function and trailer stabilization, ABS and brake assist on board. Six airbags are also included as standard equipment.
